In response to queries that we have received, we have contacted PS Ships / Sirmar Model Ships.It appears that for a considerable time that they have been the subject of malicious rumours injected into the model ship arena inferring that they have ceased trading or have gone bankrupt or have gone into receivership (the latter can be checked as untrue by reference to the Government website covering such matters).Allegedly, attempts have been made to de-stabilise their website and to interfere with means of contact. The December issue of Model Boats stated that they are still in business and this is still true. They advise that for the time being contact be made by e-mail or surface / air mail letter (rather than phone or website).It is difficult to legally pin down the source of these rumours. In the best interests of ship modelling world (for they supply a good product which otherwise could disappear) it would be advisable for everyone to be patient as possible and to negate the rumours whenever they come to your attention.
